Karen Watson

A lifelong lover of the arts, Karen began drawing as a young child and attended Vancouver Film School where she developed her art of visual storytelling. Her whimsical illustrations convey a sense of wonder and magic, rendered with an emphasis on fine details, light, and color. Alongside her illustration career, Karen has also worked as a visual effects compositor in television and film. Her work has been nominated for a number of prestigious honors, including Geminis, Leo Awards, and a Prime Time Emmy. Karen’s fairy tale-inspired watercolor paintings have been celebrated in several solo and group art shows.
