Lynnor Bontigao

Lynnor grew up in the Philippines and stapled her first picture books together at the age of ten. She has a BFA in Fine Arts, majored in Advertising, and worked at a major financial firm in Wall Street for fifteen years. When she moved to America, everything felt big and unknown.

She focused on drawing again, and as a voice from an underrepresented group, she wants to share her own stories. Her debut picture book SARI-SARI SUMMERS is her nostalgic love letter to all the grown-up kids who, like her, didn’t see themselves in books. Her goal is for readers to say, “This character looks like me," or "This place looks like my home," or "I eat that food, too.”
