Marie Hermansson

Marie loves how children's picture books have the ability to teach kids about complex topics in simple, fun and visually stimulating ways. A self proclaimed naturalist, she brings a background in landscape architecture, garden design as well as a lifelong interest in the natural sciences to her work. Like any natural process her illustration work is ever evolving and she loves the challenges each new book project brings. When she's not working, she enjoys creating art, gardening, hiking with her family, and traveling the world. She currently lives and works in sunny North Carolina with her husband and two awesome children.
