Cynthia von Buhler is an award-winning author/illustrator, graphic novelist, theatrical impresario, wildlife rehabilitator (and more) that Forbes called “a creative genius.” She lives in a fairy-tale tower in the woods, surrounded by animals she has rescued – so it’s fair to say that both her real life and her art are imbued with a magical spirit. In addition to her own picture books and graphic novels, she has illustrated jackets for Newbery-winning books, and has worked on projects for Neil Gaiman, Steven Spielberg, Scott O’Dell, and Jane Yolen. Cynthia's illustrated reportage journal of her time on Kangaroo Island in Australia after the devastating fires there was featured in The Washington Post.
