Deborah Marcero

Deborah is an author-illustrator with a passion for storytelling in many media. She is the creator of Haylee and Comet, an early reader graphic novel series. She is also an illustrator of chapter books and picture books. Deborah has a BFA from the University of Michigan School of Art and Design; an MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in Poetry; and a K–8 teaching certification from Northwestern University. She is on faculty at the Vermont College of Fine Arts MFA program in Writing for Children and Young Adults.
