PB, Nonfiction

When Giselle was three, her parents started a puppet theater company, and she and her sister traveled and performed with them throughout the United States and Europe. After graduating from the Rhode Island School of Design and moving to Brooklyn, she got her first freelance illustration job with The New Yorker, which began her career. She has illustrated more than thirty books since then, both her own stories and stories by such authors as Toni Morrison, Mary Pope Osborne, Ursula Hegi, Mathea Harvey, and Gertrude Stein. Giselle lives with her husband and two daughters in New York's Hudson Valley.
