Kate is a queer cartoonist originally from Seattle now living in the arguably rainier city of Amsterdam. She graduated from Cornish College of the Arts with a BFA in Design, and also holds a degree in Children’s Theatre. Her first graphic novel, Team Trash: A Time Traveler's Guide to Sustainability, has received rave reviews and a star from School Library Journal. Kate is also a comic journalist and has reported on and drawn pieces for NPR, The Nib, and The Seattle Weekly. She has published over 60 comics with The Washington Post since 2017.
