Sarita Rich

A former teacher of middle school language arts, Sarita has lived coast to coast in the US, but nowhere in between. After the long, dark, monochromatic winters of her childhood in rural northern Alaska, she studied illustration at Rhode Island School of Design and learned to pair bright colors and textures in her mixed media paintings. An AAPI artist with Chinese and Filipino heritage, Sarita currently lives in Hawaii, where her young children follow her everywhere with their own sketchbooks in tow.
