Francesca Mahaney

Francesca is an illustrator currently working in educational publishing. She received her BFA in Communication Design from Pratt Institute and was recently an honor winner in the SCBWI Portfolio Showcase. Francesca especially appreciates STEM-related topics that let her really dig into research—she'd love to work on a picture book biography of a lesser-known figure from history. She also loves stories with a lot of action and movement. When she isn’t drawing, Francesca enjoys building marble runs for her cats and exploring swamps with her basset hound.
