NaShantá is an illustrator, graphic designer, former cosplayer, tabletop RPG enthusiast, and Emmy-nominated visual storyteller. She currently works as a storyboard artist for Encyclopedia Britannica. NaShantá also serves as the Illustrator Coordinator for the SCBWI Illinois Region. As a Black woman in an interracial marriage with a husband and child on the autism spectrum, NaShantá is passionate about creating fun stories that include diverse characters. Prior to her illustration career, NaShantá worked in broadcast television for sixteen years, most notably as a graphic artist for Chicago’s Very Own WGN Morning News, and graphic design manager for the national news network, NewsNation.
