Supriya Kelkar

Supriya has illustrated and authored many award-winning children’s books. She is inspired by the vibrant colors and textures of India and loves combining them with everyday objects, like plants, pencils, and cardboard. She works primarily in cut and torn-paper collage and digital collage, repurposing Indian wedding cards printed on handmade paper, fabrics, prints, magazines, and jewelry from India. She lives in Michigan with her husband, three kids, and their dog.
